Accreditation

Kendu Adventist Hospital is an accredited ITC (Training Center) under the American Heart Association.  We certify and provide provider cards in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support).  Recognition by the AHA makes Kendu Adventist Hospital one of the only certified and qualified centers outside in Kenya of Nairobi.

Certification Process

Providers who are interested in becoming certified in BLS/ACLS must complete a 2-day BLS and ACLS training program at our hospital. Once they have finished, they must demonstrate competency through a written examination and a practical hands-on assessment. The provider card is valid for 2 years from the date of issuance.

Who Can Be Certified

Anyone can become certified in BLS/ACLS, but it is more commonly recommended and required for ICU nurses, medical officers, clinical officers, and anesthesia providers. However, even public safety officers and teachers are welcome to enroll.
