Inpatient Department
The KAH Inpatient Service is comprised of 6 Inpatient Departments with a total of 170 beds.
- – Surgical Wards
- – Paediatric Wards
- – Male Medical Wards
- – Female Medical Wards
- – Maternity Wards
- – Private Wards
Each ward is attended by a team of qualified consultants, medical officers, clinical officers, nursing officers, interns, and trainees.
Our multi-disciplinary team of healthcare workers is trained to not only diagnose a broad range of illness, but also to provide a level of care that goes beyond treating the immediate symptoms.
Visiting Hours: 12pm-2pm, 5pm-8pm
ICU
The KAH Intensive Care Unit (ICU) operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and has a 6 bed capacity fitted with modern medical equipment that allows our medical team to closely monitor the condition of our patients.
Every staff member who works in the ICU is certified in basic and advanced cardiac life support. Each bed is equipped with ventilators, monitors, suction devices, infusion and syringe pumps, defibrillators, and ECG monitors, ensuring that the patient receives the highest quality of care.
N/B: Each patient in the ICU is allowed a maximum of 2 visitors at one go!

Heart Centre
The KAH Heart Centre is composed of a team of specialists who work to evaluate, diagnose and treat conditions of the heart utilizing advanced techniques and technologies. The clinic provide the following services:
- – Echocardiogram imaging (TTE)
- – Electrocardiogram (ECG)
- – Treadmill Stress Testing (TST)
- – Cardiac consultation and follow up review
- – Preventive Cardiology Services
- – Heart Failure Clinic
